The Luderitz Waterfront Development Company (LWDC) is a property and infrastructure development organization which was established in 1995 by the Namibian Government through the Ministry of Finance.

The Luderitz Waterfront seeks to link the Central Business District of the town to the water’s edge. It strives to bring people back to the water by connecting a series of commercial developments and public urban spaces through pedestrian routes created by well developed spatial planning.

Unique Cuisine

Both the harbour square and Old Power Station complexes will host world-class restaurants and coffee shops offering mouth-watering dishes from the ocean’s bounty or just a coffee to start the day.

Conference facilities boasting a 350-seater sea-facing auditorium, two conference rooms with a combined 180-person seating capacity, as well as a Multi-purpose hall and outdoor seating area provide a unique setting for the hosting of various kinds of conferences, events and meetings.

Events

The flagship Annual Luderitz Crayfish Festival hosts local visitors mingling with international tourist to sample the town’s main culinary attraction – crayfish. The facilities have been designed to host a variety of special events in our conference Centre or boardwalk. All it requires is imagination!
